Long-time friends and accomplices, Mart One and Nikitch come back in the studio to offer us this new EP Jowa, with sounds oscillating between samples of African music, hiphop beats and new jazz colors specific to their respective moods. 8 years after their last collaboration "Wnbdwn", the two producers synthesize with these 3 tracks the essence of their musical teenager respective: the digging of surgically cut and arranged samples, the power of sometimes heavy or flying beats, all carried by a set of harmonic rainbow.

NIKITCH

Nikitch is a versatile musician. At first trained to classical music through then Jazz, he mixes his influences throught electronic music, creating a catchy and singular language. He’s been fastly supported by artists as Gilles Peterson and Laurent Garnier thus as few prestigious labels (Château Bruyant, Cascade Records or Tru Thoughts). Pushing his musicality beyond genres or countries, he’s regularly working with several different artists like the londoner singer Andreya Triana, the french rapper Grems or the producer from Brussels Kuna Maze, the bandsTambour Battant and Submotion Orchestra, or even Dj Cam and Grems. Nikitch continues to stretch his style and sharp a singular music in the landscape of electronic music.

MART ONE

The virtuoso DJ and versatile producer Mart One, ex-menber from Scratch Bandit Crew, uses his wax skills to develop his own creative way beyond hiphop, soul and electro. Early talent and passionate by turntables incite him quiclkly to reach the best at famous Battles. Exceeding the deejaying, this young talent put his technical virtuosity at the service of musicality and dance. Behind the desks, he loves to overturn the rules to improv over original mixes and crazy scratchs.
In studio, he synthetize all his expertises of turntablist with his crate digger soul to create innovative way to explore a rich soulfull music.
