BeefErky Fantastic! Some of the most interesting music I've heard in a long time

plasticwrap not just for Lotus/Warp/Brainfeeder fans. I'm also picking up vibes of french and belgian electronic from this record and more original tracks like "why don't you like that sound" sound like da funkier side of Daft Punk (think Teachers) transitioning into something closer to Grizzly Bear or Radiohead. a hidden gem in my vinyl collection to be sure.

DJ Home Movies This album explores many sounds. With heavy instrumentation, and style changes between each song, from jazzy beats to experimental hip-hop with a light salt of wonky IDM. I really hear the influence of each and every artist that inspired them, while still maintaining an original track and effort for Cvd to call their own.

For fans of Warp records and Brainfeeder label, you'll feel quite at home with this record and group. Favorite track: Dog Voices.

⌈As he is increasingly drawn to 70s jazz and sci-fi movies,
Cvd’s debut album offers a retro-futuristic trip, in which
human beings of the year 2047 approach reality solely
through the medium of “meta(s)”, these new immersive
technologies that connect them to an improved, augmented
reality. Their eyes see only a glimpse offered by their
glasses, their olfactory and sensory perceptions are dictated
by a drug derived from the soma, and their hearing has been
lulled by a music played in loop and called “Elsewhere Nowhere”...
Projection is at the heart of this reign of the image no one
can escape, each and every one becoming a spectator of their
own present. Elsewhere, is nowhere ⌋

⌈De plus en plus attiré par le jazz des années 70 et par les films
de science fiction, le premier album de Cvd propose un voyage
rétro-futuriste dans lequel l’Homme de l’an 2047 n’appréhende plus
le réel que par le biais des « metas », ces nouvelles technologies
d’immersion qui le connectent à une réalité augmentée et améliorée.
Ses yeux voient ce que ses lunettes de vue lui donnent à voir, sa
perception olfactive et sensorielle lui est dictée par un médicament
dérivé du soma, et ses oreilles sont régulièrement bercées par une
musique qui tourne en boucle appelée « Elsewhere Nowhere »...
La projection est devenue le cœur de ce régime de l’image auquel rien n’échappe, chacun devenu spectateur de son présent.
Ailleurs, c’est nulle part ⌋
