Zerolex is born in 2011 – being a prolific producer, he had formed
a duet with Superpoze and in 2012 has joined Cotton Claw.
And in the mean time, he was also perfecting his own productions.
Fed by black music and by hip hop, the 22-year old producer hailing
from Besançon, France has dug into the world of beatmaking before
broadening his horizon to electronic music. He joins the Cotton Claw
experience has thus enabled him to explore new musical fields and
experiment more.
After four EP – Floating in solo (Eklektik), Dusted with Cotton Claw
(Cascade), Eclipse in collaboration with Holy Two (Cascade),
Twofold (Cascade) and the Volutes album (Cascade) with Cotton Claw, Zerolex gets back to work with his new single :
Family Tree – set to be released this fall.
Family tree is more electronic and the textures are as multiple
as Zerolex’s inspirations. All composed on MPC, the two tracks on
the single mixes samples, retro synths and… contemporary beats.
Family Tree gives way to personal productions – a reflection of
his unique universe – setting a new etheral direction, where
sparkling and melodic sounds get along future beats. His debut
full length album will release in November 2016 ... STAY TUNED))
Producteur prolifique de 23 ans originaire de Besançon, Zerolex
signe son acte de naissance en 2011. Bercé par la "Black Music" et
notamment par le Hip Hop, il plonge dans le grand bain du beatmaking puis s'ouvre à la musique électronique. Digger invétéré et passionné, il s'intéresse de près Dorian Concept, Dimlite, Flying Lotus et bien d'autres. Mais Zerolex se nourrit également de belles rencontres - celles de Zo aka LaChauve Souris, Lilea Narrative et de Yoggy One - qui deviendront ses premières influences avant d'officier sur scène à leurs côtés avec Cotton Claw. C'est d'ailleurs cette expérience qui lui ouvre de nouvelles perspectives et le pousse à expérimenter d'avantage. Son talent opère dans la malice classieuse de ses productions, et s’agite sur scène où nos rétines
peinent à ne cristalliser qu’un seul musicien. Producteur exécutif et laborantin génial de sa propre musique, il insuffle à lui seul la générosité et le funambulisme live des cordes d’un groupe entier.
Après plusieurs EP en solo, en groupe (Cotton Claw) ou en collaboration (Superpoze, Holy Two) Zerolex fait sa rentrée avec un nouveau single : Family Tree.
Family Tree est onirique, organique. Une composition très personnelle qui reflète à elle seule l’univers singulier du producteur où il faut compter sur des textures aussi diverses que ses inspirations. Une rentrée studieuse pour Zerolex qui s’apprête à présenter son premier album en Novembre 2016! #verrouillé
